Scotts Car
Here is Scott's Seal Grey Boxster S, this color is a
really nice metallic grey. |
What is in the 3rd garage?
With the main two-car section of the
garage filled with Boxsters, the 3rd car area is out of sight! Everyone
should have a couple of Boxsters... |
Golf Anyone?
Scott showed me his clubs that fit in his trunk
with any difficulty, couldn't do this with some other convertibles! |
Raise the hood
Alan has taken off the front hood emblem to apply
the hood piece. Scott's emblem wasn't broken like mine. |
Prep work
Alan continues his prep work. It is a good idea to
touch up any rock chips well in advance of application. |
Hood piece on!
I really like the Invinca-shield hood piece
because the upper edge is a curve and not a straight line, it makes it
much harder to spot on the car. |
Relaxing
Scott relaxes in the PocketPC chair while Alan
works. |
Smooth
Alan continues to smooth out material |
A little hot air
Working around the lights and along compound
edges Alan uses the hairdryer for best results. |
Wrinkles?
Alan just hasn't smoothed out this piece yet but you
can see that the protection goes all the way back to the front wheels
unlike some other kits |
Bumper Plugs?
We had to remove Scotts plate as he is required to
have a front plate until he moves, then he is getting bumper plugs! |
Next!
The next piece is readied on Alan's work bench. |
Sizing it up
Alan sizes up the oval opening piece on the S, I
personally think this piece was hard to do because of the lip that the
opening has. |
Shaping up
Alan's work progresses |
Fender pieces
Alan applies the fender pieces which go on either
side of the headlights to protect the fender from chips |
Finished!
Scott's car rolls out into the sun |
Impressive!
The no-nonsense view of the Boxster S with
Invincashield! |
Reflective
The color looks really good in the sun relflecting
off the metallic paint. |
Sun angle
Here I shot the picture purposefully from a sharper
angle of the sun so you can try to pick out the edges, it is still very
hard to do. |
Another happy customer!
Alan and Scott shake hands, another
happy customer! |
